Makerspace is a hands-on method for STEAM learning, giving students space to explore science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. Makerspace helps students become more proficient in collaboration, questioning, problem-solving, and critical thinking. Makerspaces encourage students to try, fail, and try again as they would in the real world. It gives students the chance to be risk takers and helps them accept and learn from their mistakes. I will show ways to use it in Literacy and Math. Teachers can use high tech, low tech or no tech in their makerspace.
